1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern all services provided by Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care in the areas of dog care and dog walking.
By booking a service, the dog owner agrees to these GTC.

2. Conclusion of Contract
2.1. A contract is concluded through written, verbal, or electronic confirmation of care or through the actual handover of the dog for care.
2.2. The scope, duration, and type of care are agreed upon individually. The agreements made between the parties (in writing, by email, or verbally) are decisive.
2.3. Changes or additions require mutual consent.

3. Obligations of the Dog Owner
3.1. The owner agrees to provide complete and truthful information about his or her dog. This applies in particular to:

• Health status

• Vaccination status

• Medication

• Allergies

• Behavioral issues

3.2. The dog must have the vaccinations required by law. Proof of vaccination status must be provided upon request.
3.3. The owner confirms that the dog is covered by valid dog owner liability insurance with sufficient coverage.
3.4. The owner remains the legal owner of the animal under Swiss law for the entire duration of care.​

4. Health & Care 

4.1. Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care undertakes to care for the dog to the best of its knowledge and belief and in compliance with the Swiss Animal Welfare Act.

4.2. Sick, injured, or contagious dogs may be excluded from care.

4.3. Despite careful care, injuries, illnesses, or stress reactions cannot be completely ruled out.​

 

5. Duty to Disclose & Liability for Behavioral Issues 

5.1. The owner agrees to provide Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care with complete and truthful information regarding all known behavioral issues of their dog. This includes, in particular, aggression toward people or animals, hunting instincts, fearful behavior, past biting incidents, or other problematic behaviors.

5.2. If such characteristics are concealed or reported incompletely, the owner shall be fully liable for all resulting damages to persons, other animals (including Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care’s own dogs), and property. In this case, Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care shall not be held liable.​

 

6. Liability & Insurance

6.1. The owner confirms that valid dog owner liability insurance with sufficient coverage exists for their dog. Proof of insurance coverage must be provided upon request.

6.2. For all damages caused by the dog, in particular:

• Injury to or death of other dogs (including dogs belonging to Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care that live in the household),

• Injury to third parties during care or while on a walk,

• Property damage to third-party property,

• Damage resulting from the dog running away,

the owner is solely liable, provided that Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care has not acted with intent or gross negligence.

6.3. Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care assumes no liability for:

• Injuries, illnesses, or death of the dog,

• the dog running away despite proper security measures,

• damage to items brought along (collar, leash, blankets, toys, etc.),

provided there is no intentional or grossly negligent conduct.

6.4. The owner remains the legal owner of the animal within the meaning of the law throughout the entire care period.

7.  Emergencies & Veterinary Costs

7.1. The owner grants Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care express authorization to seek veterinary assistance immediately in the event of an emergency.

7.2. All veterinary, clinic, medication, transportation, and related costs shall be borne exclusively by the owner. 

7.3. This also applies in the event of:

• Injuries caused by other dogs in care,

• Injuries sustained during walks,

• Sudden illnesses,

• Injuries resulting from playing between dogs.

7.4. In an emergency, Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care will make decisions at its own discretion in accordance with its duty of care and in the best interest of the animal’s welfare. 

7.5. Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care will not cover any costs or provide advance payment.​

 

8. Feeding

8.1. Food must generally be provided by the owner. 

8.2. Special food or medication must be provided in sufficient quantities.​

9. Prices & Payment

9.1. The prices published on the website apply, unless otherwise agreed.

9.2. Additional services will be billed based on actual costs.

9.3. Payment is due no later than when the dog is picked up, unless otherwise agreed.

9.4. Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care may require advance payment.​

10. Handover of the Animal

House-sitting services and the handover of pets will take place during regular business hours, on the agreed-upon and confirmed dates. Exceptions may be arranged by phone on short notice in individual cases.

11. Rescheduling, Delays, or Cancellations

11.1. Any changes to the schedule must be communicated in a timely manner.

11.2. If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the start of care, the full amount will be charged.

11.3. We reserve the right to exercise discretion in such cases.

11.4. If a dog is not picked up and no instructions are provided, Wuff & Walk Strebel Dog Care is entitled to take appropriate measures after 14 days. Any resulting costs shall be borne by the owner.

12. Confidentiality & Data Protection

Data will be treated confidentially and used exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling the contract. 

Photos or videos of the dog in our care may be used for promotional purposes, unless the owner expressly objects.

13. Final Provisions

Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the Canton of Aargau.
